What prestige and performance owners should know
A Porsche, an M car, an AMG, a Range Rover or a Ferrari is bought partly for how it looks, and the owner notices every mark. There’s no such thing as one ‘prestige paint’: hardness changes from marque to marque and even colour to colour, and some panels are lacquered carbon rather than paint at all. The wrong detailer can do more damage in an afternoon than the road does in years. That’s why every car starts with paint readings and a test section, and nothing gets rushed.
Detailers find newer Mercedes clear coat hard, BMW Jet Black noticeably soft, and earlier Ferraris known for soft, thin paint that burns through easily under the wrong pad. Guessing is how damage happens, so we test a section on your car and work from that.
Detailers who handle new supercars regularly find sanding marks, swirls and leftover compound from factory paint rectification that was started and never finished, on cars with delivery kilometres. Most owners never see it until the right light goes on the paint.
Exposed carbon is finished in lacquer, not paint, and gloss black grilles, mirror caps and Shadowline trim scratch more easily than the bodywork. Each gets its own lighter process. Matte finishes such as BMW Frozen and Mercedes magno can’t be machine-polished like gloss paint, so we look at those in person first.
A car cover dragged over dusty paint, or a quick dust with a dry cloth, puts fine scratches across the whole car. A coated finish rinses clean far more easily, so the car gets washed properly instead of wiped.
A ceramic coating won’t stop a stone chip on a low nose or splitter, and we won’t tell you it will. What it does is hold a deep, glassy gloss and make road grime, bird droppings and sap release far more easily, so the car gets cleaned properly instead of wiped. Correction is kept to the least that clears the defect, because clear coat removed doesn’t come back, and the coating then locks in a finish that’s genuinely clean, not just glossy.
Our answer: we measure and test your car on its own terms, correct only what it needs, then lock it in with Fireball.

How the job runs
A good ceramic coating will lock in whatever is under it (for up to 10 years!). That’s why every prestige and performance car gets a full day of preparation before a drop of coating goes on.

1
A careful pre-rinse and hand wash, so nothing gritty is dragged across the paint.

2
Iron fallout remover and clay lift the rail dust, tar and sap a wash can’t shift.

3
Swirls and haze are cut back so the paint reads deep, not dull.

4
A refining pass lifts gloss and clarity, then every panel is wiped ready to bond.

5
Applied and levelled panel by panel by certified installers.

6
Checked under inspection lights, then handed back with your warranty paperwork.

Yes. Every exotic gets paint readings and a test section before any machine work, and correction is kept to the least that clears the defect. Carbon fibre is treated as its own surface, never as more bodywork.
Often, yes. Factory rectification marks, yard swirls and dealer-wash holograms turn up on new prestige cars more than owners expect. We inspect under proper lighting and show you what’s there before anything is coated in.
Matte finishes such as BMW Frozen and Mercedes magno can’t be machine-polished like gloss paint, so we look at them in person before recommending anything.
No. No coating stops a stone chip, and we don’t fit paint protection film. What a coating does is hold the gloss and make the car far easier to clean, and light marks in the clear coat are polished out before it goes on.
No. Professionally applied paint protection will not affect your new car warranty.
