The Sportage was one of Australia's top 15 sellers last year, and the Carnival, Seltos and Sorento are on driveways all over the Gold Coast. Add the Tasman ute, an electric range that runs from the compact EV3 to the seven-seat EV9 with the EV5 its best-seller, and the new PV5 van, and there's a Kia for almost every job. Whichever one you drive, the paint deserves proper protection from day one.

Black and dark grey Kias look sharp clean and show every wash mark in Gold Coast sun. Most of those swirls go in at the car wash, not on the road.
The Tasman tows, works and heads up the beach, and a Carnival or Sorento does the school run, sport and the weekend away. A coated finish lets mud, salt and sand rinse off instead of being scrubbed in, and the areas under canopies and racks get cleaned out and worked by hand first.
The EV3, EV5, EV6 and EV9 carry cameras and sensors front and rear, plus a charge flap that gets opened every day. Everything sensitive is masked and worked around by hand, never machined or coated over, and a coated finish rinses clean far easier around them.
The EV9's tall, flat sides, the Carnival's long doors and the PV5 van's big panels put a lot of clean paint on show. Under Gold Coast sun those surfaces show wash marks more than a busier design, and a coated finish keeps a family or work vehicle presentable between washes.
Like most new cars, a Kia leaves the factory with a modern colour coat under a clear coat. It polishes up beautifully, which is good news for correction, but it won't stay that way on its own. Left unprotected, wash swirls and Queensland UV start dulling it from the first summer, whatever the model and whatever the colour.
