What Nissan owners should know
Nissans on the Gold Coast earn their keep: Navaras on job sites and beach tracks, Patrols towing the van, X-Trails and Qashqais on the school run, plenty of them e-POWER, and the electric Ariya charging in the garage. Navara and Patrol owners enquire with us more than any other Nissan drivers, but whatever you drive, Queensland sun and salt air go to work on the paint from the first summer.
We protect every kind of Nissan:
Black and dark grey Navaras, Patrols and X-Trails show every wash mark in Gold Coast sun. Most of those swirls go in at the car wash, not on the road, and they polish out while there's clear coat to work with.
Beach runs, red dirt, job sites and towing. A coated finish lets mud and salt rinse off instead of being scrubbed in, and a work Navara stays presentable between washes.
The Ariya and the e-POWER X-Trail and Qashqai carry cameras and sensors front and rear, and the Ariya has a charge port that gets opened every day. Everything sensitive is masked and worked around by hand, never machined or coated over, and a coated finish rinses clean far easier around them.
On an older vehicle that's lived outside, we check for paint or clear coat that's already lifting before anything else. If it has, that's a paint shop job, not a coating job, and we'll tell you so up front.
Like most new vehicles, a Nissan leaves the factory with a modern colour coat under a clear coat. It polishes up well, which is good news for correction, but it won't stay that way on its own. Left unprotected, wash swirls, UV and road grime start dulling it within a season or two, whatever the model and whatever the colour.
