What Toyota owners should know
Toyota outsold every other brand in Australia last year, and more Toyota owners enquire with us than owners of any other make. That means HiLux, LandCruiser and Prado doing the hard yards, Corolla, Camry and RAV4 hybrids on the daily run, the electric bZ4X, and HiAce vans and HiLux work utes out earning a living. Whichever one you drive, the paint deserves proper protection from day one.
We protect every kind of Toyota:
Eclipse Black, Graphite and the darker greys on HiLux, Prado, RAV4 and Camry show every wash mark in Gold Coast sun. Most of those swirls go in at the car wash, not on the road.
Beach runs, red dirt, scrub and towing. A coated finish lets mud and salt rinse off instead of being scrubbed in, and the areas under canopies, racks and bull bar mounts get cleaned out and worked by hand first.
Corolla, Camry, RAV4 and Yaris Cross hybrids rack up the daily kilometres and mostly park in the open. Left unprotected, whites and silvers lose their gloss first on the roof, bonnet and boot, and every quick wash adds more swirls.
The bZ4X carries cameras and sensors front and rear, plus a charge port that gets opened every day, and all of it is masked and worked around by hand. A HiAce has big flat sides that show every wash mark, and a coated work vehicle rinses clean and stays presentable between washes.
Like most new cars, a Toyota leaves the factory with a modern water-based colour coat under a clear coat. It polishes up beautifully, which is good news for correction, but it won't stay that way on its own. Left unprotected, wash swirls and Queensland UV start dulling it from the first summer, whatever the model and whatever the colour.
