The Jimny is the Suzuki we're asked about most, but every Suzuki lives with the same Queensland sun and salt air, and every one looks better for longer with the paint properly prepared and protected.
We protect every kind of Suzuki:
A Jimny used the way Jimnys get used collects scrub marks down both flanks and sand in every seam. A coating won't stop a branch, but it makes the panels far easier to clean up afterwards, and light marks in the clear coat polish out.
Bags against doors, trolleys and a brush past the hedge leave fine marks on small cars. Marks that sit in the clear coat polish out, and a coated surface is easier to keep looking sharp between washes.
Painted mirror caps sit in full sun, get handled constantly and get the least care in a wash. One Australian Jimny owner reported paint peeling from the mirrors, so we look closely at them before planning the job.
Bright yellows, reds and blacks are what make a Suzuki stand out, and they're the colours where fading and swirls show most. Roof and bonnet go first on a car parked outside.
Like most new cars, a Suzuki leaves the factory with a modern colour coat under a clear coat. We measure paint depth on every panel before any machine work and take as little as possible, because clear coat removed can't be put back. Left unprotected, wash swirls and UV start dulling the finish from the first summer.
