What INEOS Grenadier owners should know
INEOS delivered its first Grenadiers to Australian owners in June 2023, so nearly every Station Wagon and Quartermaster we see is still young. That's the best time to get the paint right: inspected, corrected where it needs it and coated before the beach runs, red dirt and Queensland sun start leaving their mark.
We protect every kind of INEOS Grenadier:
Any new vehicle can arrive with transport marks, holding-yard scratches or touched-up spots. We inspect under LED and swirl-finder lighting with depth readings so anything like that is found and dealt with before it's sealed under a coating.
The Grenadier's upright front and flat bonnet take the full force of bugs, sand and road film at highway speed. A coated surface lets that grime rinse off rather than baking on in the sun.
Roof racks, ladders, awnings and recovery gear all move slightly against the paint they're mounted to, and grit gets underneath. It's the most common wear on a genuinely used 4WD and the least often noticed.
Whether it's a Station Wagon on a family trip or a Quartermaster ute carrying a load, mud, dust and salt end up in every seam. A coating won't stop that, but it releases contamination far more readily, which means the Grenadier actually gets cleaned after a trip instead of sitting dirty until the next one.
The Grenadier's upright, square body puts big flat panels - bonnet, roof, doors and that flat nose - square-on to the sun and to whatever the road throws up. Like every modern vehicle it has a colour coat under a clear coat, and that clear coat is what keeps it looking good. A full inspection comes first so we know exactly what we're working with before anything goes on top.

How the job runs
A good ceramic coating will lock in whatever is under it (for up to 10 years!). That’s why every INEOS Grenadier gets a full day of preparation before a drop of coating goes on.

A careful pre-rinse and hand wash, so nothing gritty is dragged across the paint.

Iron fallout remover and clay lift the rail dust, tar and sap a wash can’t shift.

Swirls and haze are cut back so the paint reads deep, not dull.

A refining pass lifts gloss and clarity, then every panel is wiped ready to bond.
