What Isuzu D-Max owners should know
26,839 Australians bought a D-Max in 2025, enough to make it the fourth best-selling vehicle in the country. The range runs from the SX work ute, in single cab, space cab and crew cab, cab-chassis or pick-up, through the LS-U, X-Rider and LS-U+ to the X-Terrain and Blade. On the Gold Coast they're on job sites, towing vans and boats, and heading up the beach on the weekend, which is exactly why the paint deserves proper protection from day one.
We protect every kind of Isuzu D-Max:
Every D-Max in the current range is rated to tow up to 3,500 kg braked, from the SX to the Blade, so plenty of them spend weekends hooked to a van or a boat. Road grime, salt spray and dust build up on the tailgate and lower panels, and a coated finish lets it rinse off instead of being scrubbed in.
On a tall ute the top of the cab takes full sun all day and sits above eye level, so it's usually the last panel anyone checks and the first to lose its gloss. It gets the same correction and coating as the bonnet and doors, not a quick wipe.
The D-Max SX comes as a single cab, space cab or crew cab, in cab-chassis or pick-up form, so plenty of them are work utes. A work ute is often the first thing a customer sees of a business, and a corrected, coated finish rinses clean between jobs instead of being scrubbed with whatever's on hand.
Sand, salt and red dirt get into the wheel arches, door edges and under the tub lip. A coated finish rinses clean far more easily, so a quick hose-down after a trip does more of the work.
A D-Max leaves the factory with a modern colour coat under a clear coat, like almost every new vehicle built today. It polishes up well, but left bare it collects wash swirls from the first few car washes, and Queensland UV starts dulling the cab roof, bonnet and tub rails from the first summer. Every D-Max gets a full inspection and paint depth readings before any machine work, so the correction suits the ute in front of us.

Our answer: we prep your Isuzu D-Max for what its paint actually needs, then lock it in with Fireball.
The package

Fireball Professional Systems
Your SX, LS-U, X-Rider, X-Terrain or Blade gets the same Fireball coating we'd put on a European prestige car: Dok Do+, applied by hand by a Certified Fireball Installer on paint that's been properly prepared first.

How the job runs
A good ceramic coating will lock in whatever is under it (for up to 10 years!). That’s why every Isuzu D-Max gets a full day of preparation before a drop of coating goes on.

1
A careful pre-rinse and hand wash, so nothing gritty is dragged across the paint.

2
Iron fallout remover and clay lift the rail dust, tar and sap a wash can’t shift.

3
Swirls and haze are cut back so the paint reads deep, not dull.

4
A refining pass lifts gloss and clarity, then every panel is wiped ready to bond.

5
Applied and levelled panel by panel by certified installers.

6
Checked under inspection lights, then handed back with your warranty paperwork.
